Show / Hide selection

With the Show / Hide the selection command all selected geometrical elements, or complete components are moved from one workspace to the other. Shown elements will be hidden, hidden elements will be shown.

The Toggle the Show / Hide workspace command has to be executed to switch to the other workspace before being able to place back the elements.

Visualization state

Each (geometrical) element or component (a resource, controller or workpiece) has its own visualization state; shown or hidden. It means that toggling the visualization state of a component does not change the visualization state of its geometrical elements and vice verse.

There are basically 2 situations possible.

In all workbenches and operation modes, except the Geometry mode, selecting an element swaps the visualization of the whole component. In the Hide workspace the component is rendered in a faded, low intensity color style.

In the Geometry operation mode the individual geometrical elements can be picked. Only that object then will be swapped in visualization. In the Hide workspace the geometry is rendered in a transparent style with dashed edges.

And obviously, any combination is possible. In the example below a geometrical part of the component has been hidden already, then the component is picked to be hidden too. Bringing the component back to the Show workspace will still leave the geometrical object in the Hide workspace.
