Recompute the program

Many changes that are made to the toolpath require a (local) recomputation of the toolpath to take effect. This is normally done immediately after the change has been applied. However, when multiple modifications are to be expected, this instant recomputing becomes less efficient. It sometimes would be better to collect all modifications first and then run a full recomputation.

In the Offline programming container of the General settings there is a toggle to run the recomputation of the program automatically after each modification, or to start the recomputation manually. At any time this setting can be switched.

When the toggle is set to manual recomputation, the user will be informed in the top left corner of the 3D space. A large command button is displayed. The button knows two different states:

With pressing the button, the program will be recomputed.

Although the recomputation has been set for manual update, the system automatically recomputes the program when changing from the Offline programming workbench to another one. The same applies when running a simulation; then the program will be recomputed first to be able to run the simulation on the latest situation. Or any other activity that needs to run on the latest situation.
