Swept volume computation

The Swept volume creation option starts the trace and builds the swept volume.

After the program has been simulated, the swept volumes are computed.

The swept volume has been created in a new resource type or workpiece document that has been added to the project tree. It can be recognized by the sweep symbol and is given a default name. This document can be stored for later or other purposes.

The swept volume is a one-off result of the current state of the simulation without any further association with that simulation. Each time the sweep command is executed, a new volume will be calculated and built in a new document. Existing swept volumes will not be updated.

Although the switch activates the computation of the swept volume, it only works in combination with the Swept volume simulation settings. In these settings it has to be specified for which controller (programs) the swept volume is going to be computed.
