Move the workpiece
![]()
The Move the workpiece command is a special move operation to support to position the workpiece in the most optimal manufacturing position.
The move operation will not only reposition the workpiece, like with the general Move command, but already created toolpaths will move along with the workpiece to give a clear view of the impact of the new position on the manufacturing operations. In other words; it can be used as reachability study.
When the command is aborted in any way, the workpiece returns to its original position, its active start state. To keep the position after the move, the active start state has to be updated in the Settings of the Simulation player or a new one has to be defined.
Be aware that moving the workpiece might have huge impact on simulating (sub-) programs that use an other start state than the one that is going to be modified with this operation.
