Adapters

Adapters are objects to create connections between resources, controllers workpieces and layouts. They support the creation of such a connection in a way that is expected to be reasonable or logical. For example a spotweld tool that is connected to the robot head.

An adapter is derived from a frame to define its location. It is directly related to a joint of a kinematic chain, or to a root frame. Because of this link the adapter will automatically move along with the joint or root frame during a kinematic operation.
