Axis system
An axis system is a synonym for a coordinate system in terms of CAD.
An axis system is used as a reference in several context to create and position other elements or to define measurements. The axis system either uses the world origin as reference, or has a geometrical object as reference. In the last case the axis system will move along with any position of its parent object.
Axis systems can be created in:

the CAD workbench
-
the Geometry Operation mode within any workbench.
There are two ways to create the axis system:

Manipulator. The Pie menu at the center of the Manipulator includes the Create command. The axis system is created at the Manipulator’s location and has the world origin as reference.

Geometrical object. The Pie menu on the geometrical object includes the Create command. The axis system is created at the origin of the selected object and has that object as reference.
