Line-by-Line Editing
The NC Editor Panel lets you inspect and adjust toolpath lines with precise control. Precision at every step is ensured by a clear workflow: you edit the values, press Accept, and the updated point instantly appears in the 3D Viewer. This lets you validate each modification visually before moving on.
📘 How to Edit Line-by-Line
-
Step 1: Select the line
-
Click a motion line in the NC Editor or select its corresponding point in the 3D Viewer.
-
The machine moves to the selected point, giving you immediate spatial context.
-
Step 2: Edit coordinates or parameters
-
Modify any of the following values directly in the editor fields:
-
Coordinates: X, Y, Z Tool orientation: A, B G93 -> Base frame position Local Feed value Feed value Other NC parameters such as Laser Line, Piercing Type, G94 (frame offset), etc.
-
These values can be adjusted numerically with precision before applying the change.
-
Step 3: Press “Accept” to apply changes
-
Edits become active only after pressing the Accept button located on the left side of the modified line.
-
Once accepted:
-
If the modification applies to a motion point, the 3D Viewer updates immediately, and the point moves to its new position or orientation. If the modification applies to a non**-**positional line, the change is stored internally, but no visible update appears in the 3D Viewer (the modification can still be saved).
-
Step 4: Validate visually
-
Review the updated point in the 3D Viewer, confirming tool position, orientation, clearance, and overall trajectory accuracy.
🎯 Operator insights
- Edits are applied only after pressing Accept — this ensures full control, preventing accidental changes and keeping your workflow deliberate and safe.
- Always monitor the 3D Viewer after accepting a change. Any modification to a motion point updates visually, helping you confirm accuracy immediately.
- Non**-**positional edits (e.g., parameters, technologies, feeds) will not change the toolpath visually, but they are stored and will be included when saving or validating the program.
- Use line**-by-line editing for high-**precision corrections, especially when adjusting delicate trajectories, fine orientations, or single-point refinements.
- Combine selection from NC Editor and 3D Viewer for faster navigation — visual selection helps avoid mistakes when points are close together or densely packed.
