Saving the NC program

Saving your NC program is the final step before validation, locking in your edits with confidence. Once you’ve made changes in the NC Editor — whether a single-point adjustment or a full toolpath transformation — saving ensures your modifications are preserved and ready for validation or execution.

📘How to Save your NC Program

  • Step 1: Navigate to the “Save Program” button and click it - located in the left-side panel of the Shopfloor Assistant user interface.
  • Step 2: Choose a save location and the name - select the folder where you want to store your edited NC file and provide a clear, descriptive name.
  • Step 3: Confirm the save - the system will export your NC program in the structured SINUMERKIK ONE format, preserving all edits and transformations.

🎯 Operator insights

  • Always save before validation — unsaved edits won’t be included.
  • Save frequently during editing to avoid losing progress.
  • Use versioned file names (e.g., Part001_v2.xml) to track changes.
  • Saving preserves all modifications applied via the NC Editor, including multi-line transformations and regshape edits.
