FASTCUBE Fixture Builder
FASTCUBE Fixture Builder is a cloud-based application that allows users to create plate-based fixtures that can be manufactured directly with a laser cutting machine and used for supporting workpieces for laser cutting or arc welding applications.
The application runs in the cloud and can be accessed via the website It provides a 3D viewer of the fixture design, parametrized fixture and plates editor and an exporter to send the final fixture design directly to a laser cutting machine for its manufacture.
With a simple drag and drop interface
By combining visualization, editing, and validation in a single environment, Shopfloor Assistant helps reduce programming errors, shorten setup time, and improve overall production reliability.
Key capabilities
| Capability | Description |
|---|---|
| 3D visualization | Real-time display of toolpaths, workpiece geometry, and machine joints |
| Load workpieces | Use .step CAD models of the workpieces to generate fixture shapes, and place the workpiece in the desired orientation and heigth |
| Project management | Manage and access all the fixtures created. |
| Auto save | Save automatically all progress made on the fixture after every update |
| Template based fixture | Use a default template to create a startup fixture with 2x2 plates and a base plate that can serve as base for the fixture design. |
| Add extra support plates | Create extra plates to support the workpiece on all necessary places |
| Move support plates | Move the support plates to restrict and support the part |
| Export fixture | Use the result to create a real fixture by exporting the plates nesting as a .dxk or .step file to be used on a laser cutting machine. |
