The 3D viewer displays the current workpiece and fixture. When the software is started and no fixture is available the software will display a default work plane, that represents the floor of the layout or the sitting place of the fixture, after a workpiece is added it will be displayed on the 3D viewer. The work plane will disappear once a fixture is crated and the base plate will the one representing the floor of the fixture.
